As we are now well into the silly season, and as a small gift to our members, we have lifted the daily limit on our downloads. For the next week, all members here at DJP can enjoy unlimted downloads from all catagories located in the download section of DJP.
We are please to announce the release and immediate availablity of our new VirtualDJ skin for August 2012, the "Pioneer Pro DJ". We have based this skin on the Pioneer DJ equipment, and is for use with a two or four channel controller. It's current resolution is 1280x1024, with plans to add a few more resolutions over the comming weeks. This skin is compatable with both windows and mac.
Hey guys, it's been a while since I made a post about any updates, so I thought I would drop a few lines to let you know what's been going on around the site. We have some pro's and some con's, so I think it would be best to start with the pro's.
You might have noticed the the download section has had a bit of a make over, we decided it was looking a bit old and tired so we have made some custom icons and tidied around a bit, which I'm sure you will agree, makes a huge difference. Some of the listings might look a bit of a mess, but we are working to resolve it.
As of today you will find a new category in the download area of DJP, this is for the Sonique plugin that VirtualDJ uses to create the animations while a audio track plays. Similar to what you would see in the visual panel on Windows Media. We have started adding the .svp files this plugin needs and can be found under Sonique Visuals. Members can now download and upload to this category.
We are now pleased to announce the release and immediate availablity of our new VirtualDJ skin, the Pioneer DDJ-V1 V1.0. This skin has been in the making for the past few months as time to work on it was limited and we wanted to get as many ideas into it as possible after releasing the beta.
Here is a sneak peak at our new skin for Virtual DJ 7. Based on Pioneer's DDJ-S1 controller for serato itch, we have called it the DDJ-V1.
At the moment its not completed and we still have a couple of days work on it, however we have decided to release a demo/beta for testing and a download link can be found in the Virtual DJ Skiners group. We would love to hear any feedback and suggestions for this and future vdj skins that we create
Adding music to members profiles is something we have been working on hard for quite some time, and we nearly had it a few times, but we could never get it to work with the rest of the website. I am now happy to anounce that we have now achieved a bug free profile player based on soundcloud and is now possible to add all your uploaded tracks on soundcloud, to your DJP profile in a very nice playlist using the default player from soundcloud, and our new app, so no more messy code to embed. By adding your username to the application, DJP will then go off to soundcloud and import all your tracks and comments, please note any changes made on the soundcloud website will also reflect your playlist. so lets get started.
If you are at all serious about music and your mixes you will have already heard and probably even used soundcloud before and know exactly what it is all about. For those that do not know anything about what soundcloud has to offer, I will try to explane briefly what it is, and does.
Soundcloud.com is website for music enthusiasts, mainly unknown DJs and producers trying to get their sound heard, they offer free hosting for your files and a nice profile page that displays your music in a very attractive yet simple audio player. You can also connect it with your social network, facebook, twitter, and youtube to name a few. you can follow your favorite artists and join various groups or invite your friends and family to follow you, and create your own groups.
The free plan is limited to 120 mins per upload which is more than enough for most people, or you can pay quite a reasonable fee to get exactly what you need, there are another 4 plans to choose from.
You may have noticed a new feature we have added to DJP, the "Seek & Download" search bar. This search bar has been created to crawl all the top file hosting websites and, designed with specific keywords built into it, to further refine your results, (so hopefully no more endless searches only to find a dead link at the end of it). Our search bar is powerd by google so its results you can trust, give it a try below, simply enter your search terms and hit enter.
We have recently moved DJP to a new host, and we are pleased to inform that all went well. With the new host DJP should run a lot smoother and faster.
As well as improved hosting, you will have noticed the site has a new design and layout, and the fact that our url is now a .com domain. If you registerd at oldskoolscouse.co.uk or deejayportal.co.uk, your account will still be valid and active
