While shoehorning the whole DJ experience into an iOS device seems to be the sole interest for many developers, associated technologies like Ableton Live are getting some love as well. Fresh to the App Store is LiveRemote from iximix, which gives you some serious control of Ableton live in your iPad and iPhone.

Obviously, the iPad gives you a more complete one screen experience, but each part can have its own screen on the iPhone too. LiveRemote is broken up as follows:

Livid unleash their multi-purpose, easy-to-use controller — The Block

Texas company Livid have been making beautifully crafted hardware such as Ohm 64, as well as various software products, since 2000 now. Their latest product is The Block — a multi-purpose controller for the digital DJ or VJ.

When we opened the box our first impression was that The Block looked pretty stylish and minimalist. The silver front plate, blue LED pads and wood casing go together very nicely.
