Atomix Buy Adionsoft Inc

Written by

Atomix's Virtual DJ has a bad rep. We  know it, and most importantly they know it too. This rep is largely based on  times past when all getting a copy was as easy as a 10 second online search. But  times are changing in the DJ software industry, with reputations and sales  turning on a sixpence. One can hardly fail to see that as NI continue down the  route of their own hardware, every new controller comes with Virtual DJ LE, and  their free version continues to own the App Store. Clearly they are doing  something right and putting the former rep behind them. So now is the time for  Atomix to invest - to bolster their development team, and bring a whole new  energy to the VDJ table. And they've done just that and snapped up Adionsoft -  makers of long time skratchworx favourite djdecks.

Dirtee Disco set for number 1

Written by

I've always been a huge Dizzee fan, right back to when I first heard his debut album 'Boy In Da Corner' which won him the 2003 Mercury Prize. Since then he has gone from strength to strength, with huge hits such as 'Dance Wiv Me', 'Bonkers', 'Holliday', and more recently His colaboration with Florance & The machine for 'Dirtee Love'. You may also want to keep a ear out for the upcoming Tongue N' Cheek LP reissue: the 'Dirtee Deluxe Edition'.

One for the mobile jocks!

Written by

The, Now Thats What I Call Music collection has been around for quite some time, and back in the day when I was on mobile discos doing partys, I cant think of any night where I didnt use at least one of the disc's. Volume 75 is now here, So, I wonder back in the 80s if Virgin/EMI thought this series would go on to be the success that it now is. If you want the most recent hits, and can't afford, or prefer not to buy single CDs or downloads, then this, like the ones before it, is the album for you. I must admit to being one of those people who love compilations, mainly because you can stick a disc on, and for an hour or so not have to go running backwards and forwards to change it.
