Xone:K2 has 52 physical controls – which includes 12 analogue and 6 endless rotary encoders with push switch, 4 linear faders, and 30 backlit performance buttons – delivering approximately 171 MIDI control instructions throughout 3 layers. What each and every control does is solely for you to decide – with a bit of thought you could make an entirely personalised design that properly suits how you would prefer to work. They also supply some sample maps and details regarding how to arrange your own latching layers
By assigning settings to a number of layers you can give a single physical control up to 3 capabilities. It is possible to configure all, some or none of K2’s controls to be connected to the latching layers. Two K2s may beconnectedby using Allen & Heath’s X:LINK protocol, offeringdouble the control capability. X:LINK utilizes anormal RJ45 connector and distributes power and data, so this means two K2s may belinked to your software programusinga single USB port. X:LINK also makes it possible for connection to Xone:DB4 and Xone:DB2 mixers.
